The Meckel Manor is a family owned 2300sq ft home. This home has been completely
renovated and is fully stocked. Apple chargers are located in every room. The home
was renovated with comfort and entertainment in mind.
Home was built for Pauline Sheppard the younger sister of Alan Sheppard the 1st
American Astronaut in space and the 5th and oldest person to walk on the moon.
Neighbors have told us how they attended cocktail parties in the home where Alan was
in attendance.
The kitchen is fully equipped with both Keurig and drip coffee makers, stocked pantry,
wine and coffee bars and more. The dining table seats 10 and covert's into a 7-foot pool
table and ping pong table for entertainment. Fully stocked Laundry Area!
Speaking of entertainment, we have it for you! The back yard has an extended deck,
outdoor dining table with a covered gazebo, fans, putting green, hammock, beautifully
landscape lights, grill, fire-pit and seating for over 30 people. There is a 2-room garden
house we call the Hutte with a fully stocked bar, darts, fans, heaters, karaoke CD player
and Bluetooth to play your favorite music with outdoor Bose speakers.
The whole house and deck have Alexa for music or news entertainment. Each
bedroom and living room have TV’s with Netflix's, Samsung channels, Prime video,
YouTube. There is a DVD player with a selection of DVDs for viewing. There are cards,
board games and more so you will never be bored.
There are trails at the end of our street and go all the way to the village which
is less than a mile away for a stroll, or bike ride (on one of the 2 mountain bikes.) There
you will find wonderful restaurants, shops and more. The main club is 1.3 miles where
the US Open will be held.
The main Master has a jacuzzi tub for 2 for soaking after a round of golf and
both bathrooms have large showers. There is a desk with printer for office work but we
hope you are just enjoying the area instead of working. The driveway will easily
accommodate 10 cars.
For extra fun a 4-seater Club Car golf cart with extended top, lights, rear seat belts and
speakers for music, is included! With this you can avoid many parking issues and get to the village, the US Open or many other places in Pinehurst. We look forward to having you as guest and hope you enjoy your stay.
